No, go back to MD: By 3 to 5 days if the Bacteria are susceptible you should be improving! Less redness, swelling and discharge! If Antibiotic Drops are not working! Go back to MD and if possible have discharge cultured and antibiotic changed! ...Read more

Either drop is good: Both Gentimycin and Cipro (ciprofloxacin)floxicin are pretty good antibiotics against the common bapathogens around the eye that cause secondary infections. Gentimycin is a little more toxic to the cornea than the Cipro (ciprofloxacin) but probably has fewer resistant bacteria because we dont use it much anymore.
