Can You Take Paracetamol With Azithromycin 500mg
A 14 year old has had two bouts of fever within one month. Paracetamol, azithromycin, and zinat have been given. Now his sgpt is 156 and sgot is 76. Could it be due to the long term intake of cetrizine 5mg daily for allergies?
Azithromycin (zithromax, azithrocin, zmax, azin) is an azalide, a subclass of macrolide antibiotics. Azithromycin is one of the world's best-selling antibiotics.[not in citation given (see discussion.)] it is derived from erythromycin, with a methyl-substituted nitrogen atom incorporated into the lactone ring, thus making ...Read more
Is it ok for my 8 yr old to take Tylenol (acetaminophen) and azithromycin together. She has a 103 fever?
Fine together: These medications are not known to not negatively interact, so taking them together should be fine.See 2 more doctor answers
Taking antibiotics azithromycin for last 6 day and acetaminophen for last 3 days but still my throat pain in not yet cured. Though the pain is not much?
2 month old baby is breast fed, I went to the hospital, I'm sick, they prescribed azithromycin and Tylenol (acetaminophen), now my baby has a rash on his face?
HMMMM: A z-pak and tylenol (acetaminophen) are both category B for pregnancy and breast feeding (meaning they are safe). The amount of systemic absorption that gets in to breast milk is minuscule and would most likely not be the cause of the rash. More likely would be your possible sickness if bacteria, for example strep, that may cause skin eruptions/rashes in children. If it continues, have your baby checked by Dr.See 1 more doctor answer
I took zithromax 1g for chlamydia yesterday I've been sick since Sunday night so I've been taking Tylenol, (acetaminophen) this won't effect the zithromax correct?

Running low grade fever for 5 days now, taking aspirin and tylenol (acetaminophen) not working. Took z pak, but nothing has worked please advise. Going to dr on mon?
Low grade fever: Push fluids and try to get adequate rest. It appears you may have the flu.
When does azithromycin tri-pak tab 500mg expire? I received this prescription 2 months ago. Should I still take it?
Expiration date: There should be a small date stamped somewhere on the package if you look for it carefully (just like food). If it's only been 2 months since you got this Rx, it's very likely still good. I hesitate however for you to take it, without the direct supervision of a doctor. That's how germs get smarter and the patient (you!) may not be getting the best treatment. I recommend to call your doc to advise
Took azithromycin first dose 500mg, couldn't take the rest. Was prescribed for a sinus issue. When will it be out of my system?
Azithromycin: Has a very long "half life" thus it will gradually decrease to half in 68 hours then half of that in another 68 hours. WHY are you asking?? You have not had enough to treat your sinus condition BUT you can start a new antibiotic NOW without waiting for the Azithromycin to "leave completely"! Hope this helps! Dr Z
I have a prescription for azithromycin 500mg daily 10 days. I took my first dose last night at 9 p.m. but Can I take my next dose earlier?
Yes, no problem: You can take the second dose several hours early, no problem. Then continue one dose daily. The exact timing doesn't matter: azithromycin is very long acting, each dose is in your system for a week or more). Take it once a day but don't worry about timing; it needn't be the same time every day.
Took 2 500mg Azithromycin 7/10/14 cus I tested + for Clamydia. Thn thy gave me 4more, to take 7/17 & 7/24 cus I have LGV &clamydia in anal. Am I clear??
Go back: The doctor can do another test to be sure it is gone.
Azithromycin in europe (im there only currently)-is sumamed. Is it same pill, safe for treat of pity. Rosea too? To me is said to take 500mg 1x1 for 3 days
Safe, not effective: Sumamed=zithromax/azithromycin. Zithromax is a relatively safe medication to take, even in pregnancy, and 500mg daily x3 is the 3-day-pack dosage. It is relatively safe medicine to use, but not effective for pityriasis rosea--the true cause is not known but believed to be viral. Thus antibiotic such as zithromax has no role in the treatment. Consult doc if you have trouble. Good luck.See 1 more doctor answer
Can I take my azithromycin 500mg tablets right away after I eat or do I have to wait a certain amount of time before I do?
Yes: You may take it regardless of when you eat - right before, after, or during meals, or on an empty stomach nowhere near meal time.See 1 more doctor answer
I've been diagnosed with gonorrhea and was given 4 500mg pills of azithromycin. I lost the instructions for taking it. Do I take it all at once? Or 2 the first day and then one each day after?
Gonorrhea: Uncomplicated gonorrhea can be treated with a single dose of one gram of azithromycin. If you were given two grams, then perhaps you had a more complicated condition. It would not hurt to take one gram a day for two days. Make sure you are checked for other stds, particularly syphilis and hiv, because people with one std often have more than one.See 1 more doctor answer
I have azithromycin tablets 500MG dated expire 2 /2010 should I still be able to take them for the same illness I had originally today?
Best discard old tab: Best to discard more than a year old antibiotic tablets since efficacy is probably gone! Get new tablets from your doctor!
