Does mucinex help post nasal drip? I have taken oral antihistamines, masonry and Sudanese and I'm still having really bad post nasal drip as I sleep.
I'm on zpack for sinus infection but I have a ton of mucus that is stuck and won't come up or down can I use a antihistamine or mucinex (guaifenesin)?

Acute bronchitis does not show up on x-ray. I put my patients on antibiotics and sometimes IV steriods depending if I am going to admit them or not and bronchodilators. Never heard that antihistamines should not be used in bronchitis. If your nose is very itchy, could be allergens in which case, you may benefit

You have to know Mucinex help thin the phlegm and Benadryl (diphenhydramine) has drying effect on mucous or phlegm, so you are defeating the purpose of taking musinex
