We are currently trying to get pregnant with the assistance of clomid. I take it on days 3-7. What day should I expect to ovulate?
Varies: Most patients ovulate between days 12-16. Clomid rarely changes that. What Clomid does it increases the hormones that promote ovulation (fsh). Would it hurt my ovaries to take 100mg Clomid w/ my estrogen level @ 213? Also will that level hurt my chance 2 get pregnant?
High estrogen level: Did you also have a sonogram? A cyst on one or both of your ovaries could cause your Estradiol level to be 213, if the blood test was on day 2, 3 or 4 of your cycle. Estradiol levels are also high later in your cycle when a follicle is developing. Clomid won't work to help you ovulate this month if your estrogen level is this high, but it won't hurt your ovaries. Talk to your dr about your options. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I have pcos do I need to take Clomid to get pregnant or I should first try without taking any medication ?
Need Treatment: Unless your cycles are exactly 28 days and have always been regular, i would suggest you seek treatment. We prefer Letrozole over Clomid due to success and side effects. The fact that cycles are irregular even if they are only off a little (30 - 32d), the risk of miscarriage is high. This would be the reason i would recommend treatment. In addition the time to pregnancy will be shorter. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
