Benadryl: Benadryl is an older generation anti-histamine and is the best for you in your case. It will decongest you, allow you to sleep at night and not worsen BP, glucose, etc. Please note it is sedating, so take at night before bedtime/after dinner. Avoid all over the counter meds with pseudoephedrine -- raises BP as side effect because a strong vasoconstrictor. ...Read more

You : You have phototoxic dermatitis from taking hct and exposing to sun. You should wear a sunscreen when sun exposed at all times. For now you can try Benadryl or a non-sedating antihistamine like Cetirizine and if no better see your doctor, there are other medicines that can be used to clear this.
