Can we take multivitamins with 100 % RDA daily and one neuroboin tab with each multivitamin. Neuroboib has b6, b12 and b1.Is it safe to take both?
Unneccessary: B vitamins are all water-soluble, so excess is excreted in the urine. Therefore, it is generally safe to take extra B-vitamins, but there is no medical reason to do so, unless you have been diagnosed with a deficiency or are at risk of a deficiency due to certain medications or conditions. In general, try to get your nutrients from healthy foods. ...Read more
Low ferritin 5.5 & b12, 241 my doctor isn't concerned? Would a daily multivitamin help rise these or do I need to take something for both of these?
More than that:
Ms. Blum, based on this and an other question, you need to be treated for your nutritional deficiencies. If your current doctor is not responsive, it is appropriate to see a different doctor.
It may be that your intake is insufficient or that your intestines do not absorb nutrients properly, in either care consulting a gastroenterologist would do you good. ...Read more

Also eat greens and beans/lentils for folate (folic acid). ...Read more
I take 6 different vitamins daily. Is that bad? Or is it too much? I feel like I need them all (vitamin c, e, b12, b-complex, glucosamine, &multivitamins)
Maybe: A good multivitamin will include c, e, b12, and b-complex so you are probably taking a lot of the same (and spending a lot of money... Vitamins are not cheap!). Glucosamine is good but you are too young to need it. If you feel like you need them, I would spend on a good multivitamin that has all that you need. I personally prefer to get vitamins from fresh foods as they are better absorbed. ...Read more

Yes: The amounts that are in your multivitamin, so it is safe to take an additional b-complex and magnesium chloride. The question really should be if you need to take these. What daily vitamins should a vegetarian take to stay healthy? I'm a vegetarian & already take b12, vegetarian omega 3, multivitamin, and vitamin d-3.
Consider L-carnitine: Sounds like you are doing well with the vitamins you have chosen. A healthy vegetarian diet can provide nearly all the nutrients you need except for dha, an omega 3 which you can get from algae extracts. Carnitine is not a vitamin, but is a beneficial nutrient found mostly in red meat that aids in burning fat for energy & is good for our hearts & muscles, so consider taking l-carnitine too. ...Read more

What might be wrong if my pee, poop and feet all smell sour? I take a daily B12 vitamin and multivitamin plus lamicatal and cymbalta (duloxetine)
B vitamins stink!: B bitamins in particular, will make your urine smell. The bugs will stay away from you, but other than that, probably not of significant concern. ...Read more
Hello is it safe for me to take a multi vitamin in the morning then fish oil b12 and biotin at night?
I have been taking 200 mcg of B6 and 1000 mcg of B12 on a daily basis for some time now. Is this safe/beneficial to do along with a multivitamin?
Why take pills?: Why take pills surrounded by a sheath when you can get the vitamins naturally surrounded by other vitamins, enzymes, co-enzymes, precursors, activators, antioxidants and other synergistic nutrients? See http://ods. Od.Nih. Gov/factsheets/vitaminb6-healthprofessional/ for excellent natural sources of b6. For b12, look no further than wild fish like alaskan salmon. ...Read more

It depends...: This depends on the cause of the deficiency. If it's due to a lack of B12 in your diet (b12 is primarily found in animal-derived foods) then taking a multivit. With B12 will help. However, many cases of B12 deficiency are caused by difficulty absorbing it, a condition called pernicious anemia. In that case, oral B12 won't help & you need injections &/or sublingual b12, ideally as methylcobalamin. ...Read more
Hi, I'm vegetarian and am taking B12, iron, magnesium, and a basic multivitamin. I'm also taking gildess fe 1/20. could iron vitamin make me pregnant?
Not likely unless...:
I don't know why you are not having periods but b6 is unlikely to help unless you have high prolactin levels. B6 may reduce high prolactin. Other supplements may help too but I advise a thorough evaluation, including thorough thyroid testing. See

I recently starting taking dr. Weil's multivitamin many of the dialy % is way over the maximum like vitamin b1, b6, b12, b2 vitamin C, is this ok?
Safe vitamins: All the "b" and c vitamins are water-soluble, so that your body will excrete any that it does not need. "% daily value" is a level the fda determines for preventing deficiencies, not to support optimal functioning. Amounts that exceed this "% daily value" would be what dr. Weil & company feel is more physiologically helpful and safe. For more about vitamin labels: http://tinyurl. Com/mpqbaj7. ...Read more

Folic Acid: The recommended daily intake of Folic Acid for all women of childbearing age is at least 400mcg. During pregnancy, the recommended dose jumps to 600mcg to 800mcg per day. Of course, some women's needs are different. If you have a family history of neural-tube defects, you should probably get 4, 000mcg of Folic Acid per day. Talk with your doctor about which pre-natal vitamin is right for you. ...Read more

You don't say which medication but it is safe to take B12 with all medications, but it should not be taken at the same time as tetracycline (take at least an hour apart). Many medications reduce absorption & thus increase our need for B12.
