Can You Take B12 And B6 Together
Not really: These vitamins are water soluble and are quickly excreted by the kidneys. On the other hand, fat soluble vitamins like A, D, E and K can accumulate in the fatty tissues and in the case of A&D cause serious illness or death. Thanks for trusting HealthTap! ...Read more
It's a moot issue: ...since I don't recommend Duramine except to kick start weight loss. Even then, I personally don't prescribe it. It can be used for only a short time & has many potentially serious side effects. IMHO, the only way to achieve significant, sustained wt. loss is by a life long change in eating & exercise habits. Of course, in your case, the right dose of thyroid hormone is also critical. ...Read more

B Vitamins: B vitamins are water soluble and get absorbed quickly. Vit B12 might have problems being absorbed from the stomach if you have a history of gastritis and uclers, because they can destroy intrinsic factor which the stomach needs to absorb b12. If you have an ulcer history, use sublingual B12 (under the tongue) 1000mcg(1mg) daily is a good dose, and 50mg perday is a good dose for b6. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Vitamins: A good multivitamin is a good idea. It's like an insurance policy for when we don't eat right, don't sleep well, or are especially stressed. Go to a good store or get some guidance because the popular brands are typically very week and not helpful. The dose (read label and check that half or more of the ingredients are several 100 per cent above RDA. Dose more important than a long list. ...Read more

MTHFR?: I am assuming your question got cut off and you have mthfr polymorphism? The number of pills would related to how many milligrams are recommended and you should be taking the methylated forms of folate (folic acid) and b12. You doctor may also know if you have specific deficiencies or health issues so you should contact your doctor. Mthfr.Net is a decent resource if you do have that issue. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Can we take multivitamins with 100 % RDA daily and one neuroboin tab with each multivitamin.neuroboib has b6,b12 and b1.Is it safe to take both?
Unneccessary: B vitamins are all water-soluble, so excess is excreted in the urine. Therefore, it is generally safe to take extra B-vitamins, but there is no medical reason to do so, unless you have been diagnosed with a deficiency or are at risk of a deficiency due to certain medications or conditions. In general, try to get your nutrients from healthy foods. ...Read more

I have anemia from 2 weeks. Hemoglobin HGB is 6.9 g/dl. I'm taking some vitamines(C,B1,B6,B12) but i don't want to be a fat lady.what can i do or take?
I'm taking a supplement called fertility blend (iherb), some prenatals, B6 and b12. Is this too much vitamins? Can it be harmful to take this much?
Vitamin A: Vitamin a is really the only vitamin that you can take too much of. No more than 5, 000 iu a day. Interesting, a lot of women when tested are vitamin d deficient, that's one you might want to take more of. The best way to get vitamins and minerals, though, is in your diet, so really working to have a balanced and healthy diet is much better than taking supplements. Good luck! ...Read more

Is it safe to take 2-b12, 2-b6, 3-lysine, 15000ui of d - vitamins, 4 tbls of crushed flaxseed and also 4 jillian michaels fat burner per day?
Why do that?: No good reason to be taking that combo of stuff. Don't know doses of b6 (too much- nerve damage); 15k iu of d (d2 or d3-different dosing) daily is too much (liver toxic, etc). Jillian michaels product at least says it has 100mg caffeine/dose (from guarana). You have no idea how much of anything else is in the proprietary blend. Can't recommend this regimen-it's wack. ...Read more

Chronic abdominal pain since Jan. B12 levels dropped from 609 in Jan to 371 in May and high B6. forgot to take vitamins for a 3 weeks. Is that reason?
Not entirely: A normal person has about a year's worth of B12 stores and not taking vitamins for 3 would not cause the drop in levels you described. It is not feasible to provide a more meaningful opinion without an in-person evaluation. You should see your doctor. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more
