I am once a day atenolol 25mg for hypertension and have mild Lvh 1.3wall thknss, question is would marijuana use of caused the mild Lvh?
Doubtful: There's little data but it's doubtful. Even if marijuana elevated your BP (the most common cause of LVH), you'd have to be intoxicated the majority of the day, every day, to thicken your heart. Alternatively, if you're athletic, the LVH may be benign, even a sign of health. Athletes commonly have LVH. Do you lift weights? ...Read more

"Exactly"?: I can't say "exactly, " because marijuana is not an "exact" substance. Supplies may contain other things that increase "how dangerous" it is -- and you never know what you're going to get. Plus, marijuana itself is a mind-altering substance that impairs thinking, judgment, reaction time, and memory. It's a hallucinogen that can induce psychosis, especially in more vulnerable people. Why risk it? ...Read more
No one knows: Even the dealer may now know what has been added to the weed. There's talk of more addictive / dangerous substances to enhance the effects, but little hard evidence that this is a widespread practice. A dealer may add pcp and boast of the enhancement. Otherwise, this would be an inefficient use of expensive drugs. Remember marijuana is illegal for whatever reason, and life offers much else. Peace. ...Read more

Wouldn't smoke sulfa: I would definitely not smoke the sulfamethoxazole! But seriously, there are no known drug interactions, so marijuana smoking would not interfere with the actions of sulfamethoxazole. There is some evidence that marijuana may sometimes suppress immune function but it is not clear if this is really the case. To be cautious, if you have an infection it would be wise to avoid or minimize marijuana use. ...Read more
