Headache several days in row I've taken Tylenol n ibuprofen nun seems to help?

Status migrainous: This may be status migranous (if classic migraine features are present) and when it persists and escalates for days, it may require IV treatment in ER or urgent care with more potent medications (ex: Toradol) to get aborted. By now its unlikely triptan class abortive (ex:imitrex, zomig) would work. In the interim try naproxen as it is longer acting. ...Read more

Can you take 1 ibuprofen 600mg 4-5 hours after taking 2 extra strength tylenols (acetaminophen) that are not working well?

Can you take 1 ibuprofen 600mg 4-5 hours after taking 2 extra strength tylenols (acetaminophen) that are not working well?

Yes: But don't do this on a regular basis.
Normally, it's recommended that you take 4 tabs of Ibuprofen 600 mg a day and 4-6 tablets of tylenol (acetaminophen) 500 mg a day.
So if you combine both, i'd suggest 2 each of the tylenol (acetaminophen) and Ibuprofen per day on alternating doses.
Don't drink alcohol with it.
Drink lots of liquids.
If you develop stomach upset, nausea, vomiting or fever, go see yourdr

I'm taking ibuprofen and Tylenol for excruciating tooth pain and it's not working. Is there anything else I can take for the pain??

Well: First of all be cautious with the taking of ibuprofen or Tylenol. There are two good remedies. Use a tea bag. Wet and bite down on it placing it over the bad tooth or you can crush an aspirin and use a piece of damp gauze to pick up the crushed aspirin and place directly on the bad tooth and bite down on the gauze. Both work well but you ultimately need to find a dentist ...Read more

I'm allergic to ibuprofen...I have a horrible toothache might be abscessed. Tylenols are not touching the pain in my face and jaw and tooth

Treat the cause: Most common cause of toothache is infection (abscess). Pain killers will only dull the pain as the infection spreads, which can be quite serious. Try cold compresses and toothache drops from the pharmacy. Will only provide temporary relief. What you need is to see a Dentist, and as quickly as possible. ...Read more

Can I give my 5 & 7 yr olds Tylenol or ibuprofen to reduce flu aches/fever if giving them Simulasan cold, mucus & immune relief (homeopathic)? Thank y

Can I give my 5 & 7 yr olds Tylenol or ibuprofen to reduce flu aches/fever if giving them Simulasan cold, mucus & immune relief (homeopathic)? Thank y

Maybe ok: Truly homeopathic "medications" are made by repeated dilutions, so that the ingredient is not really there anymore (just the "essence" of it remains). That means there is no active ingredient left to cause any benefit. However, that also implies that the homeopathic "medicine" should be pretty harmless, unless some other non-homeopathic ingredient (such as some decongestant chemical) was added. ...Read more

I've taken 1400 mg ibuprofen total today last dose 7pm. Is it safe to take extra strength Tylenol or more ibuprofen. I have swimmers ear. Help plz.

Tylenol: It may be safer to take Tylenol. Do not drink alcohol while you are taking this medication. Neither of these medications will address the underlying disease in your ear, and you should see a doctor for proper treatment and prevent damage to middle ear.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
Get HPV vaccine ...Read more
