Can You Really Have Hyperthyroidism And At The Same Time Be Overweight
Im being tested for overactive thyroid. The doctor put me on clonazepam and citalopram in the mean time for severe anxiety/panic attacks. Is severe weeakness a symptom of the thyroid or the meds?
Hard to say: Without knowing your thyroid test results, this is very hard to say. If the weakness onset was right after starting the medications, that may be the cause. I have a hyper thyroid but am overweight. I'm starting medication tomorrow. Should it help me lose weight?

A diet of small meals with high protein, low fat, low carbs, plenty of veggies, mixed with a good exercise regimen at least 3-5 days/week. It is difficult to create that discipline, but nothing in life worth having is easy. Good luck.Hope that helps ...Read more
