Please advise if it's ok to put neosporin on a yeast infection for the ichieness?

Please advise if it's ok to put neosporin on a yeast infection for the ichieness?

Its ok, but: Probably won't help, unless there is an overlying bacterial infection. Are you using this for vaginitis? If so, don't. Just go see your doctor. Consider use of otc yeast vaginitis preparations.

Infection (Definition)

Infections are invasions of some other organism (fungus, bacteria, parasite) or viruses into places where they do not belong. For instance, we have normal gut bacteria that live within us without causing problems; however, when those penetrate the bowel wall and enter the bloodstream, ...Read more

Is it ok to put Neosporin on my yeast infection cuts on the inside of the lips?

Is it ok to put Neosporin on my yeast infection cuts on the inside of the lips?

No: Topical neosporin should not be used in your mouth. There is treatment for the yeast infection which would heal the cuts. Neosporin is unlikely to be effective

If I have a vaginal yeast infection can I put neosporin or coconut oil to stop the itch?

If I have a vaginal yeast infection can I put neosporin or coconut oil to stop the itch?

NEITHER!: You should be receiving SPECIFIC anti-yeast medication vaginally prescribed by your GYNECOLOGIST if OTC preparations are not working! Neosporin is for BACTERIAL SKIN infections and COCONUT OIL is a "folk" remedy at best! Hope this helps! Dr Z

Does neosporin make yeast infection worse?

Does neosporin make yeast infection worse?

Occlusion: Neosporin has antibacterial and no antifungal activity which can alter your skin / mucous membrane normal flora. Normal flora competes for space, food and binding sites with invaders. If the normal flora is wiped out the yeast can flourish. As well, the occlusive nature of the ointment can allow a warm moist environment for the yeast organisms...Making them happy campers.

Is it possible for neosporin to cause a yeast infection on male if applied to penis?

Is it possible for neosporin to cause a yeast infection on male if applied to penis?

Staph: No. But it promotes staph infections since most staph now are resistant to neosporin and this product should be thrown away and never used again.

Is it okay to use neosporin on vaginal and anal tears after a yeast infection? I don't have any vaseline, and I'm on holiday.

Is it okay to use neosporin on vaginal and anal tears after a yeast infection? I don't have any vaseline, and I'm on holiday.

Neosporin: Allergic reactions: Polymyxin B - neomycin compound may cause the area being treated to become more sensitive. If you experience itching, dry skin, reddening, and swelling of the area being treated or if a lesion or wound is not healing, stop using this medication and contact your doctor. I do not tecommend the product because of a greater chance of an allergic reaction.

I have a vaginal yeast infection and I scratched now I have cuts is there anything I can use to heal the cuts that doesn't burn? Like neosporin?

I have a vaginal yeast infection and I scratched now I have cuts is there anything I can use to heal the cuts that doesn't burn? Like neosporin?

Yeast fissures: Yeast itself can result in superficial fissures ("cuts"), which can start with trauma from scratching. But the problem is the yeast itself, not an infection that would respond to neosporin or any other cream. Just continue your yeast treatment; they will heal quickly. But ask your doctor or clinic about alternate treatment if all yeast symptoms aren't clearing up after 5-6 days.

Can I use hydrocortisone or neosporin on yeast infection? I cut myself scratching!

Can I use hydrocortisone or neosporin on yeast infection? I cut myself scratching!

Yeast infection: Hydrocortisone cream might help a bit, but neosporin won't, if it is truly yeast infection, you can try clotrimazole topical OTC, if it doesn't calm down within a day or so, see your doctor,

What can I use at home to put on a yeast infection till I go to the doctors?

What can I use at home to put on a yeast infection till I go to the doctors?

Yogurt: Yes believe it or not but a plain yogurt with good probiotics is very helpful for vaginal yeast infections, you have not provided the site so I am guessing that is what you have.

Can you tell me if I put garlic powder on a tampon and put it in, will that help with a yeast infection?

Can you tell me if I put garlic powder on a tampon and put it in, will that help with a yeast infection?

Interesting question: I am familiar with application of a garlic clove into the vagina for treatment of yeast but not of garlic powder. Don't recommend experimenting placing different substances in the vagina. Take care.

I think I have a yeast infection, can it heal on its own? Or must I put something to heal it? If so, what are some medicine I can get off the counter?

Yes: I trust that you are talking about yeast vaginitis. Over the counter treatments may be effective. You may wish to get tested for diabetes as that predisposes to yeast infection. Consult this site for more information on this topic. Http://www. Mayoclinic. Org/diseases-conditions/yeast-infection/basics/treatment/con-20035129

Is it safe to put on a tampon with yeast infection?

Yeast infection: You can wear a tampon, but probably better not to since it may further irritate already irritated tissue.

I think I have a yeast infection and just got curcumsized 10 days ago is it ok to put Monistat on or will it do something bad?

Yeast infection: It should be fine to use the monistat, but your doctor could prescribe a pill that might be more effective. I am wondering if you had the circumcision for a medical problem. Do you have diabetes? It's not common for men to get yeast infections unless they have diabetes. See your doctor.

Can I put cold yogurt on I vagina to relieve a yeast infection?

Yogurt use: There is a prebiotic product called luvena (vaginal wipes). The wipes are not a treatment for candidiasis but do help vaginitis. The average yogurt you buy in the grocery store has dead cultures. Consider eating yogurt with live cultures or kefir. Yogurt with live cultures can be placed in the vagina (some say it helps but there is not clear research to back claims currently).

On nuvaring. Got yeast infection. Now on monistat. When can I put nuvaring back in?

Right now!: You're more likely to have recurrent yeast infections if you're pregnant so my advice would be to put that NuvaRing back in! contraception is super important. A yeast infection won't affect the nuvaring's effectiveness nor will a NuvaRing cause yeast infections. If you took out your ring for more than 2 days, make sure you use condoms for a week before relying on the NuvaRing for birth control.

Can I put yogurt inside my vagina to cure my yeast infection? If so, what type of yogurt?

Can I put yogurt inside my vagina to cure my yeast infection? If so, what type of yogurt?

Please don't do that: Inserting yogurt or any other food into the vagina is not an effective treatment for a vaginal infection such as yeast or bacterial vaginosis. Over the counter yeast creams are available to treat this very common problem. It will be more effective to use one such as Monistat or Clotrimazole. Inserting yogurt is likely to cause you more problems.

Oh: You should not have done that. Now first of all you need to be examined to see if you have a yeast infection and then proper treatment. Now there are issues. See you doctor for proper treatment of the damage done
