NO: If you have an oxycodone habit - are physically dependent on the - and you take a Suboxone, you will experience withdrawal, which can be severe. If you are not, the suboxone will pretty much completely block the effect of the oxycodone. If suboxone is prescribed to you, your prescriber needs to educate you. If you are taking these without prescription, get some help with your drug problem.
I recently took a Valium and oxycodone per doctors request for pain. Now I'm reading that you're not supposed to mix the two. Will I be okay?
Why?: They are both narcotics. Although one is suppose to be longer acting, the action is variable and all you are doing is adding one narcotic to another and increasing the risk of overdose. I would leave the prescribing and directions to your doctor. In the state of fl, there are about 3 deaths a day, due to overdoses, for this very reason.See 1 more doctor answer
You can: Cause an overdose and shut down your respiratory centers. Please avoid.
Only if prescribed: Oxycodonw combined with xanax (alprazolam) and Ambien can result in fatal respiratory depression. They should only be used in combination if prescribed by the same physician. Too often patients are seeing several doctors who may be unaware of what each other is prescribing leading to potentially dangerous combinations.
Mixing: Very unwise! Why use stimulant with sedatives? Why risk deadly overlap of side effects, such as respiratory suppression and death! Too many celebrities and wannabes party with alcohol, benzodiazepines, and narcotic pains, and die in a bathtub, or while sleeping. Get some professional help for your desire to overlap these dangerous drugs, before you have a fatal accident!See 3 more doctor answers
Oxy/naproxen: These two drugs can in fact be taken together. They are both pain medications but work in entirely different ways. However, always take medications as they are prescribed by your physician.See 1 more doctor answer
Oxycodone, acetamino: Absolutely not. Alcohol should not be consumed when taking an opioid.
Oxycodone/fluoxetine: oxycodone will increase the level/effect of fluoxetine (affects enzyme CYP2D6 metabolism). Possible serious or life-threatening interaction. Monitor closely. Use alternatives if available. Opioids may enhance the serotonergic effects of SSRIs and increase risk for serotonergic syndrome. Oramorph is morphine. Talk with prescriber to review how meds affect you. Best regards for relief.
Safety: Yes it is ok. But remember always consult with the prescribing physician.See 1 more doctor answer
