Can You Mix Methadone With Cymbalta
Maybe: Can't answer for you specifically or for exact doses since that would involve doing an individual assessment. However they should be ok together. There is one possible interaction. Methadone may reduce the metabolism of Cymbalta (duloxetine) (meaning that for the same dose your blood levels may be higher than they would ordinarily be). This may mean a dose adjustment. ...Read more
Will taking 30mg of cymbalta (duloxetine) and ten mg of methadone mess up the affect of my cymbalta (duloxetine)? Or will it cause the cymbalta (duloxetine), to stop working?
Does cymbalta really increase methadone, and Abilify (aripiprazole) increases the cymbalta? If so, is it wise to take these meds together?
Wow! Discuss w/ Dr!: That's a lot of medications and each one brings increased effects of the others with a particular concern in the combo of Cymbalta (duloxetine) and buspirone for serotonin syndrome. Definitely discuss the wisdom w/ your provider but DO NOT stop any of these on your own. Do it under monitoring and consider adding a non-pharma psychotherapy strategy that might help you too. What would be symptoms ofa bad reaction to methadone or interaction of it with cipro (ciprofloxacin) or cymbalta or sudafed?
Methadone interactio: Cipro (ciprofloxacin) and Methadone together cause problems with cardiac arrhythmias prolonging what's called the qt interval. If you're on this combination then monitoring with an ekg would be a good idea. Cipro (ciprofloxacin) can increase Cymbalta levels. If you are already having side effects from the cymbalta, these will increase. Cymbalta and Methadone together can very rarely cause serotonin syndrome. I would recommend the google that so you know what the symptoms are. There's not enough space here to allow me to write those all out. Best wishes. ...Read more
My pm doctor wants to switch me from Methadone to Nucynta (tapentadol) for fibromyalgia pain relief. I'm also taking Cymbalta. I don't feel like Nucynta (tapentadol) will work?
Research suggests: That use of narcotics in fibromyalgia may be a bad choice in the end and drugs such as Cymbalta, Savella, (milnacipran) and Lyrica offer better longterm success. Yet, the Methadone needs to be handled, and a better switch at this stage would involve suboxone. I agree with you, going to Nucynta may not be a wise decision. Try to see a pain specialist. ...Read more

Use with caution:
Risperidal, Cymbalta (duloxetine) and Zoloft can interact with each other and on occasion can cause a form of toxicity called the Serotonin Syndrome. These medications elevate serotonin, a neurotransmitter, that enables one neuron (nerve cell) to communicate with another.
When mixed together they can cause the serotonin level to go too high. See http://bit. Ly/1CvRfjC Do not stop medication on your own. ...Read more
My daughter went to doc she was on cymbalta (duloxetine) 60 she was deepest doc add zoloft 50mg she start to feel good is that oki for doc to do the mix?
Doc's the judge.: With these two medications there is a possibility of a major drug-drug interaction leading to what is called Serotonin Syndrome. The doctor must be aware that she is on both medications and weigh the risk/benefits. If they are working, good, but if agitation, rapid heart beat, nausea, hallucinations, fever, incoordination occur call 911. This is an emergency if it happens. Notify the Doctor. ...Read more

Is it dangerous to mix flexeril, cymbalta, lyrica, (pregabalin) mobic, hyzaar all together? I am currently taking these every night?
How can I tell if I have serotonin syndrome or if I was just sick. I take lithium, cymbalta, (duloxetine) requip, tramadol, trazadone, and klonopin which don't mix.

Long-acting opioid: Methadone is a long-acting opioid. Generally speaking, within any particular class of addictive drugs, the quicker the peak effect, and the shorter the duration of effect, the more addictive a drug will be. Because opioid-addiction can be tough to quit, Methadone - a long-acting opioid with a slow peak of action - can be used to replace the addictive opioid while one works on recovery. ...Read more
Having worked in: Both Methadone maintenance clinics and having treated narcotics addicts with suboxone, I really see no benefit to methadone. Methadone is a narcotic just like a street drug. It is ultimately more expensive in many cases than Suboxone treatment. It is by no means as convenient, and there is a tendency to continually escalate the dose. With Suboxone dosage escalation rarely if ever occurs. Suboxone is much more well-tolerated and you don't have to deal with pick ups at a clinic where you are continually exposed to other narcotic addicts. If you were thinking about going on methadone, please consider the option of suboxone. ...Read more
