Steam inhaler! Is it safe to add anything to the water from a "steam inhaler."was thinking maybe salt, lemon, olive oil. What would be safe? Vicks/other?
Avoid that: Avoid trying to inhale household items you have found around the house. You do not need any of those things in your lungs. Vicks helps when applied to your chest or the bottom of your feet for congestion. If you are ill see your doctor. ...Read more

I inhaled pool water about 24 hours ago and I can still breathe but I am shaking because I am scared. Will I be okay?
Don't be scared: If you swallowed some pool water, you probably ingested some bacteria with chlorine, common in pools> The fact that 24 hrs have passed without any significant symptom should be a good news. You may still develop some GI symptoms like stomach upset for a few days which should pass with your BM. If you get any fever or diarrhea after several days, a trip to your doctor will be advisable to evaluate. ...Read more

If you inhale a bunch of water you drown so why don't you die from water going down the wrong hole when you drink it?
Inhaled shower mist. Concerned about contracting Naegleria fowleri. My water is disinfected but so was the water in Louisiana.?
No worries: Don't worry. If you had N. Fowleri in the water supply it would make CNN. If your water is coming from your municipality your 99.99% ok. If you have your own tank that might be a different story. Nothing can be done unless you develop symptoms anyways so don't worry too much. ...Read more
I inhaled a bunch of water while swimming and coughed al little the vomited. Do you think I still have lingering water in my lungs?
Hard to say: It would be hard to say with so little information. It is certainly possible to aspirate water into your lungs, or if you vommitted a lot more may have gone into your stomach. If you have a significant shortness of breath, residual cough, chest pain, or resolution of any symptoms I would not hesitate to be seen for exam and possibly radiologic workup. ...Read more

Drug test: This depends on what was in your hookah pen. If it had fruit flavorings only, it will likely not show up on a drug test. However, if it had thc, nicotine, or others in it, these could show up on your drug screen if testing for those. You need to know also that these vapors can be irritating and damaging to lungs.
