Can you have the flu, without any cold, cough, or congestion symptoms? I have chills, fever, listlessness, no energy. It started with vomiting, but none since.
The: The most common symptoms of flu according to the center for disease control are: -fever (usually high) -headache -nausea, vomiting or diarrhea -fatigue -sore throat -runny nose or congestion -cough -body aches unfortunately, it is difficult to diagnose the flu based on symptoms alone since many other illnesses can cause similar symptoms. Most viral illnesses start to improve after 3-4 days. If you are not staring to feel better in this time frame, you should give your doctor a call for an appointment. Good luck!

Can you get the flu on the summer? Also can you have the flu even if you don't have a fever? (I rarely get fever unless I'm very sick)
Do you pass out when dehydrated versus when you have the flu? I have diarreah, chills, low grade fever, nausea, dizziness, hotflash and fainting
For 3 days I have all over body aches, like when you have the flu. No fever, and I dohave an appetite. My throat is just a little scratchy but not bad?
Could be viral: Could just be a viral illness or could a throat infection or just even a cold. If the symptoms continue past 5 days then see a physician for further work up. Drink plenty of fluids and make sure to force yourself to eat to make sure you have energy. Also get plenty of rest.
Do you mean flu vs: Cold? Common cold symptoms include: Cough, congestion, watery eyes, sneezing, sore throat, mild headache, low grade fever & mild body aches. Been taking fever reducer/pain relievers for 48 hours, bc I think I have the flu. Still have a 99.5F fever. What can I take to feel better?
Rest and fluids: Likely this is just a minor case of the flu or just a cold. A true fever in the medical sense is when you hit 101.3 F or 38.5 C. For a minor temperature of 99.5 you can take a Tylenol (acetaminophen) if you wanted. You just need rest and fluids (soups). If the fever continues to rise even on Tylenol (acetaminophen) or if you start having severe sweats, coughing with phlegm. Then you should get checked out by your doctor.
Flu fever: Fever is a symptom of illness. What you eat has nothing to do with it.
I have the flu but I didn't get a flu shot this year. Am I going to be okay? I feel really terrible but I don't have a fever.
What to do if I have the flu with a low grade fever, could I take a shower or is that a bad idea?
Yes.: Yes. You can take a shower, it is healthy for you and those around you. Try to let the water run at room temperature or cooler. Avoid warm or hot water.
What's up with my symptoms? I'm very cold but don't have the flu or a fever. Body temp of 95.18°f, bloodpressure 112/88, postprandial bg 95. Thoughts?
Get warm: Your vitals are stable, as is your bg. Depending on what you ate, the post prandial bg may be even a little on the low side. I would try a different thermometer as that temp is very low and if persists you would be at risk for hypothermia. If it is indeed your true core body temp. Than get into a warm bath to bring your temperature up and get checked by a dr. Best wishes.
I believe I have the Flu and I have been vomiting, green and yellow. I also have a fever. I am 27.?
Mgt: I would suggest seeing a PCP. It may be a viral illness, but there are other GI conditions associated with these symptoms.
I got my flu shot this year, but I've gotten sick and my symptoms include muscle aches and fever. Is it possible I have the flu?
Yes: Yes, it is possible. Ultimately the purpose for the flu shot is not to prevent the flu, rather it is to prevent you from dying from the flu or flu related illnesses. That said, the flu shot does reduce risk of getting the flu and often makes the bout less severe if you do get it.See 2 more doctor answers
