Have mono, got it may 29th or so. Sore throat is gone but now it feels like I have stuff stuck in my throat. No pain just irritating. Is this normal?

Yes: The lymph nodes and tissue may still be swollen, even if you can't feel the swollen glands at the surface. This may give you that fullness feeling in your throat. Make sure to get plenty of rest, as trying to do too much too soon can cause relapses with mono.

Let me explain: Could be from mono or secondary infection to mono. If it is from mono we could give Motrin or steroid to minimize the swelling and the pain, if it is secondary you should antibiotic for sore throat.

Mild Mono: It probably wont, but I would wait until your spleen returns to normal size, which shouldn't be too long, since you seem to have a mild case.

Have mono. Sore throat gone. White pus went away 2 days ago after drinking lots of water. Came back mildly today. Result of lack of water past 2 days?

Have mono. Sore throat gone. White pus went away 2 days ago after drinking lots of water. Came back mildly today. Result of lack of water past 2 days?

Not really: Time is what is going to heal the viral disease. The water may have affected your symptoms but the infection will get better over time. It could take months to be completely irradiated even though you have no symptoms.

Tested neg on spot test. Tested equivocal on igm test. Temp normal for 72 hours., no aches pains, no fatigue, no sore throat. Do I have mono?

Mononucleosis?: Not enough information. What were your symptoms & how long you were sick? did you have a strep test for your sore throat? Negative mono spot test & equivocal IgM result, most likely you don't have infectious mononucleosis, there is. A complete EB virus panel & CBC that has high atypical lymphocytes plus clinical picture suggestive of mononucleosis help in making the diagnosis. Good luck.

I started having the chills, fatigue, body aches, sore throat, and fever. The back of my neck has been hurting very bad. Could I have mono?

I started having the chills, fatigue, body aches, sore throat, and fever. The back of my neck has been hurting very bad. Could I have mono?

Possibly: Since you are running a fever and are in general not feeling well. I recommend that you go to your family doctor or to a walk-in clinic. You should have your diagnosis confirmed. Having a stiff neck can be part of mono but it could also be part of something more serious and I think that you should definitely be checked out by a medical professional this morning.

My school nurse looked at my sore throat saying I have mono or strep and my doctor said I have a sinus infection. Can someone explain this?

School nurses: School nurses are employed to help identify kids that need to be sent home to protect the student body from spread of contagious diseases. Any direct patient care is secondary to this first duty. They are not physicians & are not licensed to diagnose or treat your illness. In this case s/he correctly identified you as sick & potentially having a contagious illness. It's the doc's job to sort it out.
