Can You Have Ibs Without Having Stomach Cramps
When I eat my stomach would rumble and would have a lot of wind. Sometimes stomach cramps but only the odd time. Could this be ibs?
Could be but...: You need to get a full work up before your doctor can diagnose you with IBS. It is usually a diagnosis of exclusion when no biological cause can be found for your symptoms. Indigestion and occasional change in bowel habits are common and doesn’t mean you have IBS. You can also keep a food journal and see if certain foods tend to produce these symptoms more than others. ...Read more
Bit embarassing, people constantly ask if I've farted. I'm always bloated but am 100% certain I haven't. I may have IBS & incur stomach cramps often?
Maybe nothing but...: Being gassy may reflect malabsorption of food (like gluten, lactose), intake of poorly digested food, or choosing foods known to promote gas (beans, fizzy drinks). Sometimes its more complicated--gut emptying too slowly, bacterial overgrowth syndrome, delayed intestinal function, partial obstruction from any cause, infection, rectum problems, ; pelvic pathology outside the gut. Pls get checked. ...Read more
I'm having problems with stomach cramps (left and right) alternate! My GP thinks it's IBS but I don't match any other symptoms. What do you think?
Likely IBS: I am assuming you have been tested for other causes and your workup has been negative. You may see a gastroenterologist if you want a second opinion. But IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), even without physical abnormalities, can cause very disabling symptoms for some people. But generally the symptoms can be managed with appropriate therapy. Hope that helps ...Read more

I get stomach cramps, a feeling that I can't fully empty my bowels, frequent changes in stools, wind and I go to the toilet a lot. Could I have IBS?
Yes: Stomach cramps and other symptoms of intestinal dysfunction often reflect IBS, for which there is no known cause. IBS is highly associated with fibromyalgia, which is highly associated with Joint Hypermobility Syndrome. In my opinion, IBS results from autonomic nervous system dysregulation due to mechanical impingement of this soft neural tissue. ...Read more

What causes my stomach to cramp and have pains all the time? It makes it worse when I eat. I already know I have ibs. Could it be something else?
I constantly get severe stomach cramps accompanied by diarrhoea and nausea, What could this be? I originally thought IBS but now I'm not sure.
Is a "diagnosis of exclusion"...means that some testing needs to be done to rule out inflammatory bowel disease (a "screening blood test is available) some docs want more "semi-invasive" testing. ..at any rate try eliminating LACTOSE (milk dairy products) or taking LACTASE tablets...and try a PRO-BIOTIC Yogurt. See if that helps

Most adult food allergies are to nuts and sea foods.
