Can You Get Rid Of Pneumonia Without Antibiotics
Aids patient with pneumonia undergoing antibiotic treatment continues to get worse. What should be done next?
AIDS and Pneumonia: If a patient with aids is also ill with pneumonia then the right type of treatment needs to be determined with at the very least an x-ray. There is a common pneumonia known as pneumocystis pneumonia that can occur when one's immune system is weak. This can be picked up on a simple x-ray. If this patient is getting sicker please get them to the right medical provider asap.
Help! Need to know if there's a way to get rid of pneumonia without having to get a subscription for antibiotics?
No: Convential therapy (antibiotics) is the most effective treatment. It is orders of magnitude superior to remedies or other nonconventional treatments. Pneumonia is a serious illness, it can lead to other complications or even fatality. Please seek medical attention.
How can I get rid of pneumonia without having to go to the doctors to get antibiotics I am also allergic to penicillin?
Diet doesn't matter: What you eat and drink won't make any difference. To get rid of bacterial pneumonia, you need antibiotics.
Maybe: "walking pneumonia" typically refers to pneumonia that results in mild symptoms - hence the ability to "walk" rather than be in bed. These can be caused by bacteria or viruses. If a bacteria is the cause then an antibiotic like Levaquin (levofloxacin) or zithromax may be of help and might reduce length of infection. However, they will do nothing for a virus.
I had pneumonia and it went away but there is still a cough. Is this normal? How do I get rid of this annoying cough?
Let me explain: How do you know it went away? You have to be sure clinically and by x-ray. Go back to your doctor and tell about the cough he will give you something for it. (some thing have Codeine with it, it will get red of the cough).
I was diagnosed with Bronchitis (Could have been pneumonia). I was prescribed Cefdinir. How come the symptoms of bronchitis take so long to get rid of?
Bronchitis blues: Depending on the germ that caused the bronchitis and you, the patient, symptoms of something like that can vary. Not sure if your doc 'nailed' the etiology of the cough -if it was pertussis, then that cough can last for weeks. Conversely, if you have 'reactive airways'--something like asthma or sensitivity in the breathing tubes, you could cough for a while as well. Call ur doc if not better soon.
A while: I presume you are feeling better, the fever should be improved, though cough is milder. If that is the case then you are getting better. Many people have residual cough and fatigue for several weeks after. In my experience most people are not back to normal for about 6 weeks. But it is pretty variable. If you are not any better, go back to see your doctor.See 2 more doctor answers

If u have pneumonia or walking pneumonia will antibiotics help get rid of it? How long for u get better after taking antibiotics? What else need to do
Yes.: Pneumonia of any type, bacterial in origin, needs antibiotics and has to be the proper one. It is difficult to predict how soon people get well, but if treated properly, a person must be better in 48 hours. Good expectoration of secretion is necessary.
How to get rid of little fluid and atelectasis post pneumonia? PNA cleared back in March left lung clear. Right had the fluid mid April. Ribs ache
I have had the flu virus, pneumonia, strep throat, and now the stomach flu all within a two month period. Should I be worried that I cant get rid of t?
More history: Is this a new development? If you have had bouts of pneumonia or sinusitis regularly in the past, you need to have an immune evaluation (allergist). Otherwise you need to just wait and see if this is a recurrent pattern. The stomach "flu" may or may not related to your immune system however.
Body Odor: Glad to hear your saw your doc and are doing what you can. Have you changed your diet? Perhaps removing foods such as onions, garlic, etc. Can help. Consider adding greens which can be detoxing. A nutritionist may also be helpful. Peace and good health.
My sinusitis won't go away even after multiple uses of antibiotics. Could this be a sign of an underlying issue? How do I get rid of it w/o antibiotic
Sinusitis: You need to be evaluated by a sinus surgeon. That doesn't mean you need surgery, but that is the ultimate treatment when you fail everything else. Other options for treatment include steroids, nasal saline rinses and limited balloon procedures. You probably need a CT scan to see what your sinuses look like and if that is even the correct diagnosis. Best of luck
