Can uou get pink eye if someone was to fart in your face?

Bad luck or hygiene: Most "pink eye" is caused by a viral infection on the inner part of the eyelid and thin moist "skin"covering the eyeball-called the conjunctiva. Once infected its called "conjunctivitis." you infect your eye when you touch a surface (or person) with the virus and rub your eye-transfering the virus. Frequent hand washing helps prevent this. Sharing towels or pillows can also cause infection.

Can you only get pink eye from a person who has it farts om your pillow?

Can you only get pink eye from a person who has it farts om your pillow?

No: Pink eye from viral conjunctivitis is highly contagious through physical contact. In your example, a person with it touches the infected eye, then touches your pillow, then you touch your pillow and touch your eye. Now you can get it!

Can you get pink eye from touching your face?

Can you get pink eye from touching your face?

Yes: Pink eye is caused by the same virus that causes the common cold. It is extremely contagious and can remain infective on surfaces for hours. If you touched someone with pink eye and then touched your face (specifically your eye), you can certainly become infected. Hand washing and alcohol sanitizers effectively kill the virus, so be sure to wash after touching someone with pink eye!

Can you get pink eye from a handjob then touching your face?

Can you get pink eye from a handjob then touching your face?

Bacterial "pink eye": More commonly people can get a bacterial conjuctivitis if your partner has an untreated std such as gonorrhea, or even just a uti. Then after handling the genital area, and touching your eyes without washing your hands, you can transmit diseases to your eyes. I have also teated patients who ended up with unusual pathogens in their eyes after oral genital contact.

OCD: The more life feels out of control, the more likely OCD symptoms may appear. Since this came on quickly it may also leave quickly. You may have developed a phobia rather than OCD. If this persists see doctor or mental health professional. Peace and good health.

Viral syndrome: It suggests that she probably had a viral syndrome rather than a pure conjunctivitis (pink eye). Most notably, adenovirus can cause this.

Can smelling underwear after you fart cause pink eye? Rinsed my eyes immediately after

No risk: This is entirely harmless, without signficant risk of pink eye or any other health problem. Normal hygiene always includes washing hands after toilet -- and, by extension, after handling your own or another person's used underwear -- your mouth, skin, or eyes cannot be infected without direct contact with the contaminated item. No infection through the air. Don't worry about rinsing your eyes.

Viral conjunctivitis: It apparently is being treated for a viral eye infection. This virus can be present with red eye and discharge worse x 3 days, then resolves over 1-2 weeks. Without systemic symptoms, no worries. Use bacterial gentak drops until symptoms resolve. If symptoms i.e. eyelid swelling, change of vision occur, see eye MD.

Many: Many many things can cause swollen eyelids (lid edema). Strange that it is just on one side. If has ben going on for six months, it is probably not an infection. It could be an allergic reaction to something. The confusing part is the one-sided-ness. I would see a local specialist to have it looked at and evaluated.
