Lyme is from ticks: Mosquitoes don't transmit Lyme only ticks can do that. If you have a bulls eye rash though that could very well be Lyme. Sometimes the ticks are so unbelievably small u can't see them. It looks like u live in New England and it's summer so I consider it peak Lyme season. If the rash is bigger than 5 cm in diameter and is expanding it's probably Lyme. Show it to an MD and get some antibiotics pls! ...Read more

It's also possible it is a totally different illness altogether that he has contracted now.
