The french kiss was fast, I don't have any sore or cuts, and I wash my mouth with rum fast after it. Do I have a chance of hiv? Or something else

Listen Jay...: You're a grown man now. You can't get HIV from kissing, though you can get infectious mononucleosis, cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex, and/or gonorrhea. Kissing is worth the risk. You can't go through life rinsing your mouth with run every time something really nice happens. Congratulations on having been kissed, and may you find true love when the time is right. Best wishes. ...Read more

I was with an woman. We only kissed but during kissing she bite my lip and tongue. After I noticed a bruise in the place she bit me. Should I be worried to get HIV infection?

If she has HIV!: Sounds a bit irresponsible to have someone give you a penetrating bite. Is she HIV positive? I'd you do not know, you should not permit the behavior! Hep b and c are possibilities as well. The only way of knowing is to be tested. I doubt your bighter will be! ...Read more

No: HIV isn't transmitted by kissing. Period. You can get gonorrhea or syphilis or infectious mono or CMV. But not HIV. Very few people are bleeding, especially while you're kissing them. I kissed a guy and I had a wound he didn't have blood in his mouth should I get checked for hiv?

I kissed a guy and I had a wound he didn't have blood in his mouth should I get checked for hiv?

Not likely: Hiv can be transmitted by saliva, so if you know the person you kissed was hiv+ you could conceivably be infected. I presume your wound was in your mouth, otherwise there seems even less risk. The risks, even with an open mouth wound, are minimal for just a kiss, however. Whether to get tested depends on your degree of worry about this. Talk to your physician. ...Read more

I bite myself inside my mouth last nite and I only french kissed a sex worker today. Cannot see any bleeding from her mouth, what chance I get hiv?

HIV: The risk, as you describe this encounter, is minimal if present at all. Saliva usually eliminates HIV assuming the patient is HIV positive, and without the sex worker bleeding there would be little or no way for the virus to get into your system. ...Read more
