Complicated question: It would not hurt to stop it for 1-2 days and then resume at the normal dose. However, it is unclear what is meant by "overdose", and it is unclear why you are taking armour thyroid, rather than the preferable medication, levothyroxine. ...Read more

Check with md: It should not be a problem, but at that dose i would go a bit slow instead of stopping altogether at once to make sure your own thyroid "wakes up" and starts to produce thyroid hormone. If you had hypothyroidism (not subclinical) i would be cautious about this as you can become ill stopping thyroid hormone that your body needs (called myxedema). ...Read more

Do not treat antibod: Hashimoto's is an autoimmune disorder of the thyroid. Although many people have hypothyroidism, they can have normal thyroid function initially, as you do. Your symptoms are not likely to be related to your thyroid. High thyroid antibodies are simply an indicator of having autoimmune thyroid disease, it has nothing to do with the course of the disorder.
