Chlamydia: The problem with chlamydia is that it can live deep in the urethra, throat, and cervix for years if untreated. It is easy to pass. One does not even need full on penetration to get chlamydia. I always advise couples in your scenario to just get treatment and not lose the relationship. But, once treated. Errors: Understand that you can be symptom free and still have chlamydia. The routine test looks for genetic material from the chlamydia, but the test is more likely to miss it than to be falsely positive, unless they mixed up your test with someone else. If they found it now, re-test it & get treated if true. Please share your story with your clinic as they may need to review their testing protocols. Read more
