Can I get an sti from kissing ?

Can I get an sti from kissing ?

On New Years Eve, a stranger kissed me. After, he said he might have an STD, I now have a cold sore. What should I do? Is it free to get it tested?

STDs are not transmitted by kissing (except oral herpes, which isn't considered an STD). See a doctor to confirm diagnosis, but testing may not be free. ...Read more
