Can you get a tattoo if you have heart problems?

Tattoos: The United States food and drug administration (fda) does not regulate tattoos leaving the burden of tattoo safety and regulations up to individual cities and states. Some of the risks that come with getting a tattoo are infection at the site of the tattoo, allergic reaction to the tattoo dye, the spread of disease such as HIV and hepatitis c, granulomas and keloid formation. No tattoos! ...Read more

Hi o wanted to ask you I want to start intterval training but its real hard last time I did it my heart rate went to 200 BPM will I get heart problems?

Unlikely: It is unlikely to develop heart problems from exercising. A standard maximum heart rate can be roughly estimated by the formula 220- (age). In you case, your maximum heart rate would be 220-22=198. If you start to feel dizzy or lightened while you exercise, you should slow down. Also, if your heart rate doesn't slow down when you stop exercising, you should talk to your doctor. ...Read more

I am b12 Def. My friend said I will get every diease because of this like heart problems, thyroid, you name it. I am getting injections every 8 weeks.

Is friend a doc?: If you keep getting regular injections of B12, you will not have any disease due to deficiency of B12 per se. The underlying cause of B12 deficiency is more important in determining what other issues may arise. Since you are seeing a doctor for B12 injections you should discuss your concerns with her/him. I'm fit, and haven't had heart problems. Yesterday I had the most rigorous workout of my life. Today my heart hurts when I get up after sitting.?

Pain: You are probably having chest wall pain and not heart pain. After a vigorous workout your chest can be sore from breathing hard. Try pushing against the area to see if that makes it worse. If it does it is probably chest wall. It would be unusual for someone your age to have heart problems. If it continues see your physician. ...Read more

Why does a male person get recuring pneumonia. He has had it 4 times in the last 3 months. Does have copd, heart problems, diabetis 76 years old.?

Hmmm...: Recurring "pneumonia" usually means there is something else going on. If this is truly pneumonia, more testing is likely in order to evaluate if there is something blocking the airway or there is an unusual organism causing the infection. What is more likely is that there is another explanation. This may be related to uncontrolled COPD or heart failure. Recommend seeing a lung specialist. ...Read more

My 92 year old dad has not much of an appetite/ so difficult to get him to eat. Teeth are excellent but he does has many heart problems?

What sounds good?: Remember that elderly folks who are not very active do not need as many calories as they used to. That being said, however it is important that your father take in a sufficient number of calories and protein to ensure that he stays alert and strong. Sometimes as we age we lose our appetite as well. There are good tasting drink supplements which you can purchase at any drug store. ...Read more

Hi doctor. I would like to know how can I loose weight. I weigh 92 kg and I am becoming anxious because of that and feeling that I will get heart problems because of my weight problem. I go to gym also but it's not coming down only. From four years I

Kitchen then gym: Weight loss efforts begin in the kitchen and are maintained in the gym. Focus on increasing vegetables and fruits and lean protein and decrease oils/fats and grains and beans which are more calorie dense. Drink water, don't drink calories and be mindful of eating, chew slowly, savor the flavors. Need much more time to tailor a plan for you based on a diet journal if you could provide me with one ...Read more

I have chest discomfort that is not heart problems and is not an asthmatic issue. It's uncomfortable to take deep breaths. I don't get it.

Causes of CP: If heart problems and asthma r/o then chest wall pain/costochondritis possibly the next real possibility. Pleurisy it's another possibility from a prior pneumonia or any inflammatory disease like lupus, rheumatoid arthritis etc. Other possibility is acid reflux disease. Stay with your doctor. Sometimes takes time to match a symptom with a cause/diagnosis. ...Read more

Help do I have gas or heart problems, I feel better sometimes when I pass gas. But I hurt like its trapped gas and I get dizzy and have a full feeling?

Symptoms vary: It is unlikely that a 34 year old woman would have heart disease but women's symptoms are often very atypical. Certainly your description would be concerning. You should establish with a health care professional that can evaluate and examine you and order appropriate testing to determine the nature of your symptoms and concern. Don't delay, it is unlikely but could potentially be serious. ...Read more

How effective is an EKG and blood work for ruling out heart problems. I was diagnosed w anxiety instead but still get chest pain which scares me?

Effective..: Yours is a common "differential diagnosis" issue among young-middle aged people: chest pain due to heart problem or anxiety/ neurosis. Blood tests (Troponin) & EKG can certainly differentiate between the two most of the time with some help from your clin history and state of physical health ...Read more

I have been having heart problems for the psst couple years, was recently admitted into a hospital for a heat rate of 28 bpm. Had angiogram done with nothing to be found out of the ordinary, at times I still get really dizzy and lose energy. Was wo

Focus on low pulse: A normal angiogram does not mean that you could not have problems from low heart rate. You should focus on the heart rate of 28 bpm. How long did you have this low heart rate (seconds, minutes or longer) and did you feel weak and dizzy during the low heart rate. If this cannot be answered you may need a ambulatory telemetry monitor for a couple of weeks or longer. ...Read more

I now and them get a sharp pain in my left breast like a wind is stuck can it be my heart? I never had heart problems but are a bit paranoid

Unlikely BUT: More likely mechanical chest pain such as vague things we refer to as costochondritis, chest muscle strain, and of course, the old standby: Anxiety. If your family history is positive for heart disease and you are overweight, diabetic, smoker, poorly conditioned, and haven't seen a doc in awhile then, a checkup would be wise just to get a set of hands and some electrodes on you for a look-see. ...Read more

I've had strep throat 4 times from ages 10-20. Took antibiotics every time. Can I still get heart problems in the future or is that only if untreated?

I've had strep throat 4 times from ages 10-20. Took antibiotics every time. Can I still get heart problems in the future or is that only if untreated?

WOULDN'T WORRY: Those who have untreated strep will have a full natural immune response that creates antibodies. In about 1/200 cases, those antibodies can attack normal body tissue in the heart/brain or kidney, resulting in the damage we want to avoid.Antibiotic treatment within the 1st 10 days of fever stops this from happening. ...Read more
