I have ulcerative colitis and starting to get a sore throat and cough. Could a cold or flu cause a bad ulcerative colitis flare up?
Possibly: A 'cold' is caused by a viral infection. As your body mobilizes an immune response to that infection, it might decrease the response it is giving the ulcerative colitis.
