Possible: Alot of patients with post nasal drip will get an upset stomach because of the excess mucous in their stomach. In addition, if one has a cold or allergies causing the drip, one would expect some sleep disturbance b/c one's nose is not functioning properly b/c of the congestion and drip from the cold/allergies. Both: You are both right. It will be a good idea to have your sinus infection checked and have a treatment plan, most sinus infections do not need antibiotics. You are right also being afraid that possible antibiotic treatment may result in reactivation of your C diff colitis. If your symptoms do not resolve, or get worse, you should see your primary care doctor as soon as possible to have your stool tested and receive appropriate medicine. Lots upsets tummy: There are lots of reasons for nausea & abdominal pain but many are not due to the GI tract. Bowel problems often accompany GI disorders--whether functional or organic. If pain with meals consider peptic (acid), biliary, or pancreatic disease. If bleeding or tenderness is present, this suggests inflammation, ischemia, or infection. Not FUO yet: Most of the time these symptoms mysteriously end up going away on their own and are ascribe to a viral illness. A week of low grade fevers and loss of appetite may be indicative of B symptoms and should be evaluated by a face-to-face visit with a doctor.
