According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

I am 19 weeks pregnant and haven't felt any movement yet. Should I be concerned?

I am 19 weeks pregnant and haven't felt any movement yet. Should I be concerned?

No: If this is your first pregnancy, I don't expect you to feel bonafide fetal movements until the 22nd or 23rd week of pregnancy. Women who have been pregnant before have "corporate knowledge" and can tell the difference between fetal movements and background movements like bowel activity at a younger gestational age. I wouldn't fret just yet. ...Read more

28 weeks pregnant. Back to work after long break and don't notice much movement during day. Kick count is 10 kicks in 15-30 min. Should I be worried?

No: If you can get to 10 in less than an hour, that's as reassuring as you can hope for at home. To be doubly sure, call your doctor and he/she will likely want to listen to the baby's heart rate for 20 minutes. This is called a Non-Stress Test, and if normal would predict less than 1% chance of fetal demise in 4 days. ...Read more

I'm 4 weeks pregnant but I'm not keeping it can I get rhinoplasty done anyways while pregnant due to being in another country so can't abort here?
