Could external and internal hemorrhoids be cured with diet and exercise ?

Could external and internal hemorrhoids be cured with diet and exercise ?

Improved, not cured: A good diet and exercise are helpful for many conditions. Hemorrhoid symptoms are often related to bad bowel habits associated with poor fiber intake and inactivity. Foods causing constipation and diarrhea do not help the situation. Itching and irritation are often related to diet. Protrusion can be decreased by less straining. Bleeding must always be evaluated for other causes. ...Read more

Avoid straining: If you have a small hemorrhoid, avoid straining to have a bowel movement (bm). Straining increases the 'venous pressure' of hemorrhoidal veins and may cause the hemorrhoid to 'grow'. Also avoid constipation: increase fluids, fiber and consider citrucel or metamucil. Also consider an over-the-counter stool softner (colace or generic). If any pain you can use prep-h or similiar. Hope u get better! ...Read more

Pat the anus dry after cleaning. Avoid using harsh soaps that contain dyes or aromas. Cotton underwear is helpful as it absorbs moisture well. Sitz bathes can be helpful. Sit in a bathtub with warm water. There needs to >. ...Read more

Such a situation occurs with pregnancy, straining at stool and with any other cause of raised intra abdominal pressure ouch as a protracted cough.
