Sounds accurate: Cannot imagine a neurologic reaction to flu vaccine except that there have been some cases of guillion-barre syndrome (a form of ascending paralysis) associated rarely with vaccinations. The recommendation you received is good as long as you follow up quickly if you are not getting better and definitely if you develop any other symptoms. ...Read more

Is it possible for me to get the flu shot while drinking?

It is possible but: I think any shot or treatment etc. Should be with held unless the person is not intoxicated and unable to understand why the shot is being given and cnsent for the same as long as one is drinking and i smell the alcohol i refuse to give flu shot or any other treatment till the person is sober to understand the reason for flu or any other shot or treatment.Only exception is life saving emergency. ...Read more

Can happen!: It is uncommon, but painful joints and arthritis sx can occur after a flu shot. Bear with it, because it is short lived. Low dose Prednisone (2.5-5mg) and nsaids should really improve your sx. Please do not less this "bad" experience keep you from getting vaccinated in the future. ...Read more
