I'm 54 weight 168 and 5 ft 7. I recently started having shortness of breath after short exercising, very short. What should I be concerned with.?

Doubt it's the heart: I don't think your symptoms can be caused by your heart given your description of the echo findings. There could be many other causes of your symptoms. Effect, not cause: Shortness of breath is a symptom. It can be caused by alot of different things. Some of those things could cause sudden cardiac death. For example, a heart attack can present as shortness of breath and lead to sudden death. A pulmonary embolism can cause sob and lead to death. But also remember, alot of benign things can cause sob. Panic: Good % of mitral valve prolapse pts. Suffer panic disorder/pd which is diagnosed in absence of other mental diagnosis. Treatment is different if you suffer from generalized anxiety/gad with panic attacks. Good that tests are normal. This is very common and nothing to worry about.
