Can you combine taking cymbalta (duloxetine) and naltrexone for depression?

Can you combine taking cymbalta (duloxetine) and naltrexone for depression?

Probably: Cymbalta (duloxetine) for depression is fine. I find no indication for the use of Naltrexone in depression. If you are referring to just having to use the two at the same time, i find no contraindication for using the two together, ie, no drug to drug interaction. Both drugs are for serious illness and make shure you thoroughly discuss this with your pcp, addiction md, other provider or pharmacist/pharmd. ...Read more

Is it ok to start naltrexone and ativan during detox from alcohol while already taking Effexor (venlafaxine) for depression?

Maybe: Are you getting all these meds from one provider? They are all psychoactive but are different chemicals and have different uses. Naltrexone is for narcotic addiction, whereas Ativan is for anxiety and Effexor (venlafaxine) for depression. With guidance of a doctor, you can navigate all of them together, but require monitoring response to this cocktail. ...Read more

is Cymbalta (duloxetine) work well with Risperdal? for anxiety and depression?

Reasonable combo: Cymbalta (duloxetine) is a SNRI for depression, anxiety and pain and Risperdal is a med that helps with agitation, paranoia. A low dose of Risperdal added to antidepressants can boost the antidepressant effects esp as it helps anxiety/agitation. Additional side effects are possible but can be monitored by prescriber. All patients on these meds should be regularly monitored. ...Read more
