I want to breast feed when I have my baby but I am not too sure if i can or can't. Does it matter ? How would you know if you would be able to?
Better: Hands down - breast feeding is better. Human milk is designed for human babies. Formula is cow's milk, and while the formula companies have tried to get it to be the best it can, it's design is for baby cows, not humans. It has none of the protective antibodies breast milk does to protect baby from disease in the first months. And breast feeding protects mom from breast cancer and helps lose weight. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My 2yrs old doesn't eat anything but want breast feed instead which i feel is NT enough for her at her age. What should I do?
Great advice from Dr: F. If her doctor tells you her health & development are ok other than her delays in self-help skills, always offer solid food before nursing. Typical 20-mo.-olds feed themselves with a spoon & drink from an open-mouth, 2-handled cup, holding it themselves. Put her in her high chair with healthy foods on her plate at pleasant family meals at the table, during which everyone ignores her protests. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Depends: Your milk is made continuously & the drugs will remain at trace levels for days.Baby will get enough drug to show up on testing. The long term effect or their brain is unknown but it increases risk of crib death. It's time you decide whether you want to breast feed or light up. In my state a random urine test on you or baby would send the baby to child protective services and you to jail. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Feed him/her more often through the day and encourage wakefulness. Give an evening dose of cereal. All the best and enjoy this special time with your baby. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Good & Fair Question: It depends what you mean by little or no immune system. Does she have a specfic diagnosis. Obviously her immune system is good enough to maintain and carry a pregnacy. I think even if her immune system is 'weak', what ever that really means, it would still be the best for the infant to receive the breastmilk from the mother. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Demand: Supply and Demand - the stimulation of the breast feeding signals the body how much milk to make. There are two breasts so many twin moms will feed with one on each side. Triplets take some juggling but can be done. Mom needs to drink lots of water, stay on prenatal vitamins, and relax. Stress and fatigue can reduce milk flow. See a lactation specialist. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
