My 3 year old son fell off the couch & landed prone on the left side of his face onto a rug. He cried & vomited once afterward. I'm worried about the possibility of a concussion. What should I do?
Close observation: If the vomiting was after crying, may not be a problem. Vomiting, transient amnesia, loss of consciousness, change in behavior, excessive sleepiness are signs of concussion and intracranial bleed causing significant brain compression.
