Can Well Water With Too Much Iron Effect My Hyperthyroidism
I've had severe hyperhidrosis as long as i can remember. Now have low blood volume and potassium defiency (not from diet). I drink a lot of water but might i be losing too much sodium and potassium?
Hyperhydrosis: Fluid balance is tricky. One mustaumtain a salt balance to hold any water that one drinks. Body weight divide in half should be a good estimate of your daily intake of water. Urine should be clear, salt should be present in diet. No caffeine for sure! if you still have your symptoms you should see your physician as there are other causes of salt or other mineral imbalances. Hope this helps. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Does too much sugar in one's diet affect depression and anxiety? Am under tx but eating a little more sugar and not feeling as well as before.
Possibly: Having too much sugar can lead to increased Insulin levels then "crashing". This can affect mood. Too much sugar over a long period of time can lead to weight gain and type ii diabetes, which can predispose you to depression. The best thing would be to eat well and exercise. Perhaps a consultation with a nutritionist might help? Hope this answer helps. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Low Aldosterone 10 range 15-70 with normal sodium and potassium?? and I eat a normal sodium diet, not too much and not too little sodium..
ACTH challenge tes: A low aldosterone could be due to a problem with the adrenal glands or due to other causes. An ACTH stimulation test for aldosterone can be done - a low aldosterone response to the stimulation would indicate that there is dysfunction in the adrenal glands. A high aldosterone response would indicate that the problem is not due to adrenal gland dysfunction. ...Read more

How mg of sodium can help keep your levels up on 200 mg spirolactone? I sodium is low, but not want to have TOO much sodium to mess with my hkpp.
Hyponatremia: Your measured sodium in the blood is a "water problem(excessive)", the reasons needs to be determined. decreasing the water/fluid is the key. Depending on the sodium value, would see a Kidney doc, and a urine and blood test are needed. Aldactone (spironolactone) can cause low sodium in the blood. But key is measured sodium is a water problem and not a salt issue. Hope this helps. best to talk to your MD. ...Read more
