Can Watching Tv Before Bed Effect My Sleep
Is it safe to take 10 mg melatonin and 50 mg diphenhydramine HCl an hour before bed almost every night? I have trouble getting to sleep most nights.
Yes: Sleep and dreaming can be greatly affected by your experiences throughout the day and specifically what you are doing right before you fall asleep. Watching a tense or horror filled tv show will affect your dreams and may lead to nightmare. A pleasant relaxing show may give you good dreams and good rest. Be selective with what you put in your head prior to failing asleep. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Yes, overstimulation: The sleep-wake cycle is linked, in part, to external light cues; staring into a bright monitor screen at 3am is one way to throw off your biological clock with great ease. This, coupled with the increased stimulation involved with watching movies, listening to music, reading news, etc. Is simply not conducive towards initiating the sleep process. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I take amitriptiline 25mg before bed. Can I drink coffee in order to stay awake? Or will it alter the effect of it? it makes me sleep all day.
Timing is everything: Not sure why your are taking amitripyline. Is this for pain, migraine, or depression? Tell your doctor that the drug is making you drowsy and ask if you should take it 1-2 hours BEFORE bedtime. This may help you out quite a bit. Best of luck! Dont use coffee to stay awake. Change the timing of the dose. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Can I split Ambien in half, 5mg before bed and 5mg in the middle of the night. When I can't sleep anymore ?
Yes, but...: ...That's not ideal. For some people, ambien's 2.3hr half-life is too short. First i'd try switching to Lunesta (6 hour half-life) or Ambien cr. If those are too long-acting (causing morning "hangover"), i'd go back to Ambien 10 at night, and sonata (1hr half-life) for nighttime awakenings. With sonata, its half-life is so short, you can take in middle of night and usually be okay in the morning. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My baby is 7 months now n still wont sleep thru the night she wakes for bottle even though i give her a jar n bottle before bed shes stubborn?
That is normal: Some babies sleep thru the night, and some don't. Yours seems to get hungry at night. But there may be other causes for waking up. Diaper wet, any rash on the butt? Any noise? Etc. Your baby may wake up at night for one of these reasons, not for hunger, but he may find comfort in sucking and fall asleep. You may need to look at the whole routine. But some baby does need more food than the others. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
