That is normal: Some babies sleep thru the night, and some don't. Yours seems to get hungry at night. But there may be other causes for waking up. Diaper wet, any rash on the butt? Any noise? Etc. Your baby may wake up at night for one of these reasons, not for hunger, but he may find comfort in sucking and fall asleep. You may need to look at the whole routine.
