Calcium supplements and 2 vitamin d supplements everday. Why didn't latest study show they are okay?

I realize this is vague but I'm on prescribed vitamin D supplements (50,000 units 1x a week) and this is my second week taking them. So far it seems the day I take them I feel kind of tingly on my right side (around my liver). Any thoughts?
