Extremely unlikely: Ovarian cancer can, with enough time, can invade into the rectum and cause bleeding, but it would have to be at advanced stage at that point. In reality, it's rare for ovarian cancer to present with rectal bleeding, especially at your age. Far more likely there is a gastrointestinal issue. Don't panic: Cysts are very common. Sometimes they rupture and bleed into the pelvis (hemorrhagic cyst). Your body will take care of it. 12mm is a very small cyst. I would advised waiting 4-6 weeks and having a repeat sonogram to check on cyst size.
