I have high blood pressure, ulcers and am diabetic. Does this have anything to do with my bad breath?

Diabetes & Ulcers: It may, diabetics are more susceptible to develop gum disease than the general population. Also, ulcers and other gut problems may cause bad breath. Xerostomia increases the amount of bacterial growth causing in turn bad breath. Visit your dentist and md. ...Read more

What are the causes of the lower number of blood pressure to go up?

What are the causes of the lower number of blood pressure to go up?

Hypertension: Elevation of either number suggests hypertension (high blood pressure). It is not unusual for the upper (systolic) or lower (diastolic) to go up disproportionately. Often younger people have high diastolic, and older people high systolic. Both are dangerous but systolic is worse. If values are above 140/90 that indicates stage 1 hypertension. Let me know if I can help further. ...Read more

My blood pressure goes to 8.8/5.5 or 9/6. What can cause this?

My blood pressure goes to 8.8/5.5 or 9/6. What can cause this?

Normal: I suppose you mean BP 88/55 and 90/60? Those are good numbers and normal. Normal BP is between 90/60 to 129/89. Your BP is on the lower border of normal which is fine as long as you'r not lightheaded or unusually weak. People who are physically fit may have lower BP when resting. BP normal fluctuates through out the day, will go up if you walk around for a few minutes. ...Read more

Can blood pressure in elderly go low and high in one day? Like 90/65 in morning & 145/100 in evening? Can it cause stroke? Should BP be normalized?

It is a: Mistake to "over control" the blood pressure in elderly patients (although the definition of "elderly" has CHANGED and 73 is not as "old" as it used to be"
A 24 hour BP monitor is available and I would strongly suggest it be used in this case. If the "episodes" of higher BP are FEW I would not treat! My opinion only!

Hope it helps

Many things. . .: There are many ways to increase blood pressure (BP) such as stress & anxiety. Excess salt in one's diet can do so, too. Obesity & lack of exercise don't help either. In fact, losing weight via exercise can decrease BP naturally. ...Read more
