Can U Still Get The Phv Vaccine If You Have The Virus Already
Karl Landsteiner &: Erwin Popper discovered the polio virus in 1908. The U.S. used Dr. Salk's 1953 killed polio vaccine from '55-'62. From '63-'99, the U.S. used Dr. Sabin's 1962 live oral vaccine. It's still used where polio is endemic. The U.S. has used the Salk vaccine since 2000. Withered limbs from polio have been documented since early man: note the Egyptian priest's withered left leg. Be wise, immunize! ...Read more

Can you get Gardasil 9 vaccine at 32yrs? If you haven’t been exposed to the hpv viruses that the vaccine protects against, it will still work?
Yes: At a listed age of 31, you are beyond the approved age (9-26) where insurers would cover it. You could benefit from the protection provided by the newer 9 strain Gardasil that cover for any strains you have not been exposed to.The vaccine doesn't treat or help with existing HPV infections. You might be able to find a provider to give it at your own expense, but it is costly. ...Read more

I am almost 27. Will it help to still get the hpv vaccine if there are signs of the virus present?
HPV vaccine: The HPV vaccine (Gardasil) is excellent at preventing HPV caused by any of 9 different HPV types. However, it has no effect at all on an HPV infection someone already has. It takes any vaccine weeks to generate protective antibodies & these antibodies are only to the strains in the vaccine. There are dozens of HPV strains & you may be at risk for strains not in the vaccines or if exposed before effective ...Read more

Vaccine for hep B does it mean i woudnot never get the virus even if i exposed to it from patient with virus?is there also booster vaccine and when?
You need to get the: whole vaccine sequence in order to be protected. It has a series of 2 boosters in short sequence from the initial vaccine. Your body's immune system needs to recognize it, to react to it, and if you're missing the sequencing, then you're inadequately protected. It's not like tetanus shot, where you need a booster every 10 years. You just need to complete it once. Adolescent dosing is different. ...Read more

Is it possible to be exposed to flu virus in small enough amounts to not get sick but develop some antibodies? Not to undermine vaccine. Curious.
Id: Interesting question. There do exist subclinical infections that produce little or no symptoms but result in antibodies. The flu is caused by different viruses such as bird or swine so difficult to answer exposure rate. However my best guess we be it is possible but would not count on it. Better to get the vaccine! ...Read more
If I have a HPV 9-valent vaccine now&in future a better vaccine came out against more strain of the virus, can I still have the better vaccine? 17 male
Yes, you can.: Since vaccines are merely pieces of antigen that your immune system reacts to and develops its own antibodies to, there should be no scientific reason why you would be unable to receive a new vaccine in the future with a higher number of valences. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Vacicnes-no: Coughing can last 7-10 days from a virus. Steroids indicate there was probably wheezing as well. Should flu vaccine be taken annually is necessary for us? Who always can't predict the right strain for vaccine, we still suffer from the novel virus.
Get shot annually: The flu virus changes, so it's important to get vaccinated every year. The cdc usually does a pretty good job of predicting which viruses will be circulating. Sometimes they miss, but if you don't get the shot you have no chance of being protected. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I'm going to get pre-exposure rabies vaccine. Is it possible that it contains residual live virus, which can enter the saliva and infect by e.g. kiss?
No: The present 2 forms of vaccine available in the US and recommended by the WHO are made with inactivated (killed) virus . They are safe enough that they consider them safe during pregnancy. I would consider the possibility that any virus would remain alive after the inactivation process and pass as you describe to be a myth. ...Read more
