Do babies in utero who are mentally handicap or brain damaged, still kick and move like a healthy baby?

Do babies in utero who are mentally handicap or brain damaged, still kick and move like a healthy baby?

No way to tell: In the early 80's nelson et al.Published an interesting analysis from the national collaborative perinatal project (50 k births) that found that the majority of kids with a CP DX at 7 yrs had been born after a normal p/l/d with normal apgar scores. This points out how hard it is to be sure what goes on during pregnancy. The best you can do is keep healthy and avoid risks when you can. ...Read more

My infant won't make a bowl movement unless I stick a thermometer in her rectum and move it around. Is this normal? How do I get her to go on her own?

My infant won't make a bowl movement unless I stick a thermometer in her rectum and move it around. Is this normal? How do I get her to go on her own?

Bowel Movements: She will go on her own when she is ready to go. The biggest mistake we as parents make is thinking our babies have to go everyday. If you keep stimulating her with the thermometer, she will get to the point she will only go when she has that stimulus. So stop doing that. Some babies go multiple times a day, some go everyday, some go once a week. Adults do that too. Be patient. ...Read more

Why do babies go to a separate place when being born for shots?Nd is not because the mother can't handle it when a few weeks u watch your baby get shots

Why do babies go to a separate place when being born for shots?Nd is not because the mother can't handle it when a few weeks u watch your baby get shots

No good reason: Your pediatrician may prefer to examine and treat the baby elsewhere. But, you are the mother! if you don't want the baby to leave you to get shots, you have every right to tell them that you want your baby to stay with you. Having surgery, or having to go to the intensive care unit is really the only reason your baby would need to leave your side. ...Read more

"hello doctor , my gf is 3 weeks pregnant and she has ab negative blood. Can she do a termination? Will she have babies in the future? Thank u for u

Yes: A patient's blood type does not affect her ability to have a termination, but she'll need a shot of rh Immune Globulin (rhogam). But remember, there are two other options to termination.....Keeping the baby or adoption. You should both talk to your respective families and/or clergy. In the future seek family planning services, and don't be ashamed to be abstinent. ...Read more

Hello doctor , my gf is 3 weeks pregnant and she has o negative blood. Can she do a termination? Will she have babies in the future? Thank u for u he

Not a concern: Blood type has no impact on terminating a pregnancy, but with o neg blood type she should get a Rhogam shot if she chooses to terminate. Termination, when done properly without complications (which are rare) should not impact her being able to get or carry a pregnancy in the future. ...Read more
