Chest gets tight im guessing anxiety.Heart checked ok as well ss lungs. No clots found. Whats best ways to convince myself it anxiety n or treat it?
Anxiety is a fear : Anxiety in not always rational and there is no simple test for it, usually it is caused by a brain chemistry imbalance, thought to be low serotonin. There are medications that raise serotonin levels and cause anxiety to subside. If chest tightness, shortness of breath and other potentially dangerous symptoms are present a medical work up should be preformed to rule out a serious problem first. ...Read more

Thyroid & manyother things ruled out;i developed pots/dysautonomia 2 weeks post pregnancy;can i die from this? Or could i get better? Or stay the same
POTS: Orthostatic tachycardia (rapid heart rate with blood pressure maintained) - called pots, is not fatal and often happens after viral infections or flu, rarely other times. Often it gradually improves. If there is more autonomic involvement than pots, that can be riskier, but pots typically not life threatening. Good hydration, salt intake and gentle graded exercise best approach. ...Read more
Had reaction/rash day 5 of ceftriaxone. Told whole life i had penicillin allergy, but doc thought id be ok. Can u clarify if these 2 meds are related?
Maybe related...: It is likely ceftriaxone is responsible, assuming no other obvious cause (discuss w/ your doctor). Ceftriaxone and penicillin are chemically related, but still your doctor is correct that the risk is little or no higher for ceftriaxone in people with past penicillin reactions. But with this reaction, probably best to continue to avoid both pen and ceftriaxone (and other cephalosporins) in future. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Wht do I hve 2 do 2 get the Dr's 2 gve me a direct diagnoses!!!! Beside probably, seems like, maybe MS OR can it not be given a direct yes or no?

Could doctor prescribed low dose oral steroids to help diagnose/rule out conditions? If so, depending on my reactions, what could this tell us?
I have anemia from 2 weeks. Hemoglobin HGB is 6.9 g/dl. I'm taking some vitamines(C,B1,B6,B12) but i don't want to be a fat lady.what can i do or take?
How much of a 5000mcg Methyl B12 sublingual would actually be absorbed? I'm vegan & I just found out I'm 8 weeks pregnant and I was taking 1 every 2 wks. Concerned that levels would have spiked and harmed my baby. esp re: new links to autism
B12: The recommended daily allowance of B12 in pregnancy is 2.4 mcg. Most of what you are taking will be excreted into the urine as B12 is a water soluble vitamin. There isn't a confirmed causation between high B12 levels and autism. Most studies look at association rather than causation. ...Read more
is there a way 2 lose 10-15 punds in 2-3 weeks without buying anything? also is the a test i can take 2 see if i have depression or bipolar disorder?
Can i crush up an iron pill and put it on my skin to see if i'd be allergic to it? I have to take OTC slow fe from cvs for anemia & i'm scared of a bad reaction.
Very unlikely: Iron is naturally found in your body in the red blood cells, so almost no one is allergic to iron. When you get a bruise, the yellowish color that appears after a few days is iron from the broken down red cells. Iron can be irritating to the stomach. It should be taken with food. People can be allergic to the dye or preservatives in the iron pill, but this is rare. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
How can I find out whether CMV was instrumental in preticipating an early onset of labor or not? Igg 2, 9 (grey zone 0, 85-1, 1)
Cytomegalovirus: You have asked about this previously. There is no way to definitively exclude the possibility but absent an igm antibody titer, or rising igg titers over a several week time frame there is no way to prove whether this may have initiated early onset labor. Many people have antibodies to cmv, some that are actually cross immune reactions to other herpes viruses (yes, CMV is a herpesvirus), . ...Read more

Im b12 deficient and intrinsic factor came high. Is it better to do endoscopy or blood test to find out if I have atrophic gastritis?
Endoscopy: Blood test is not suitable for diagnosing atrophic gastritis. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. If your seratonin low cn it cause u 2 hv band headaches & all kinds of horrible symptoms 2 your body.I use to be on Prozac (fluoxetine) 25 mg & now off of it.
In roundabout way: If you were on Prozac (fluoxetine) and stopped, it's possible to have some uncomfortable discontinuation symptoms [including headaches] even though Prozac (fluoxetine) is less likely than other ssri's to cause these. Another possibility is that Prozac (fluoxetine) was helping you relax, including the muscles around your scalp & forehead, which can tighten into tension headaches. Serotonin doesn't necessarily need to be "low" for this. ...Read more
Dentist took a xray and seen something above 2 molar said it may be calcum or cancer can you tell me more they said it looked like cloudy on the flim or xray
Further evaluation : You need a further evaluation. If this is above an upper molar, they may be referring to the jawbone or your sinus cavity. If this was your general dentist, you should see an oral surgeon who typically will have a panoramic or 3d ct scanner and should be able to determine if you have a problem that needs to be addressed. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

I read that active HSV1 or 2 can cause mild enlarged spleen at 13cm- is this correct? Also, what would be next step? No other symptoms/ CMP,CBC nml
Not HSV: You heard wrong. No HSV infection, and no individual outbreak of herpes, can cause splenic enlargement. If your spleen indeed is enlarged, you'll need to look elsewhere for causes. Seems to me the main thing is to confirm the possible enlargement. Physical exam alone is unreliable in detecting mild enlargement;. You'll some sort of abdominal imaging (CT scan, ultrasound, etc) if not yet done. ...Read more
What causes people w/ autoimmune diseases like lupus to "burn out" so quickly? Even when doing well, I have no reserve tank. How do I explain 2 others
See below: Not being an expert on autoimmune disease, i would await a rheumatolgist's response, but from a medical logic point of view, autoimmune diseases are diseases that attack one's own body and thus, weaken the body and cause damage that requires energy (overall) so to try to, repair damage. Consequently, your energy levels are "sapped" and your body is destroyed from inside out - why you burn out. ...Read more
