Can Trapped Wind Cause Chest Pain
Got punched chest. Pretty hard. I felt little winded. I played afterwards. No chest pain right now. How likely is it to cause me to die? Worried
Extremely unlikely: You probably have read or heard stories about a blow to the chest causing heart stoppage and sudden death. This is extremely rare problem; every case is reported in the media, but only a handful of cases every year in all of North America. Second, the heart stoppage is immediate, not a few hours or days later. See your doctor for reassurance if you're still worried. ...Read more
Two nights in a row was in bed had left sided chest pain accompanied with back pain shortness of breath for about 15-20 min. Since then when I walk or do anything I feel winded. Seems to get worse as each day passes. I'm a 29 year old female with two kids.
Chest pain more noticeable at rest, easily winded when walking, low oxygen after walking, chest tightness when coughing or taking deep breaths?
Dx lung nodules now have chest pain (heart checked out ok). Pain gets more severe w deep breaths or cough, ideas? Could this be serious? Easily winded
Pleurisy: It sounds to me like you have pleuritic pain. Any irritation to the pleura- which is the lining outside the lung would cause such kind of pain. That could be caused by different things including inflammation, infection (viral/bacterial), autoimmune disease, etc. With the lung nodules and now with pleuritic pain- definitely I would advise you to go back to see your pmd- for further eval ...Read more

I get trapped flaulence that causes bad cramps an bad chest pain that goes away after passing wind. Why chest pain? Echo, ecg, holters always normal.
GI vs heart: If pain goes away with passing gas, the source of pain is almost certainly the GI tract and not the heart. Part of the colon (large intestine) is just below the heart so the pain can sometimes be felt in the chest. Echo's, ecgs, and holters will not show GI issues. See a gastroenterologist if your symptoms continue. ...Read more

Many: Chest pain most commonly is musculoskeletal in children (it comes from the muscles and bones of the chest). It can also be caused by gastroesophageal reflux (heartburn), pleurisy (pain from the lining of the lungs, usually from infection), or, less commonly, from the heart of large blood vessels. If the pain involves fever, weakness, or difficulty breathing, medical help should be obtained. ...Read more

Pain inside the chest can radiate just as easily to the right as to the left, so would not disregard the symptom just because it is on the right. It still should be evaluated.
It still could be angina, pericarditis, chest muscle wall pain, costochondritis, a lung condition, or an aorta condition. ...Read more
