Unlikely: Despite the ice bucket challenge, ALS is still very rare, about 5000 cases a year. With your history of spinal cord compression, that is most likely the cause and the emg will help with diagnosis. Other causes include overuse of a muscle or an electrolyte abnormality like with calcium. A few blood tests would help with that. ...Read more

Most likely nothing: But pay attention to see if there are any other symptoms. This could be early signs of serious things like ms, but you are mostly likely too young to see this.
