Could upper endoscopy w/ dilation cause Costochondritis. I have had chest/back pain & tingling/cold sensations since I had it 2mths ago. How long last?

Coughing: If you had some violent coughing during the procedure (I am guessing you were sedated and would't necessarily remember. Endoscopy can also cause retching. Coughing or retching violently could strain the cartilage in the chest wall, resulting in costochondritis. the treatment is aspirin or motrin. It can linger on, 6 months would not be surprising. ...Read more

What to do if I have bad like a tumour or something - but on the other hand I read about costochondritis and maybe this is more likely?

Probable correct: The ribs of the chest wall all converge on the breast bone or sternum. The actual attachment for the ribs which end 1-2 inches from the breast bone is a rib shaped segment of cartilage called the costo chondral junction. When this becomes inflamed, it is painful and bulges in that local area. Anti inflammatories can help ...Read more

Costochondritis: Costochondritis is inflammation of the cartilage that attaches the ribs to the breastbone. It is a common cause for chest pain. The condition normally is not dangerous and can resolved with or without treatment. You may have costochrondritis, but it should not be the cause of you to loose your speech ability, become numb and to be unable to move your extremities. These symptoms could be due to a more serious neurological problem. If you are experiencing progressive inability to move your limbs, I recommend that you get emergency care. ...Read more

Symptoms today are horrible indigestion, numb arm, shortness of breath, feeling weak. I have costochondritis. Is this normal? Heart attack?

Doubt it, but...: No one symptom definitively indicates a heart attack is or is not in progress (many people make the fatal mistake of waiting out atypical heart pain). By the same token, where in your gut you have problems may result in very different sensations. See doctor to be reassured. ...Read more
