Can Thrush Come Back If I Eat Too Much Candy
I keep getting vaginal thrush every month. Been tested for everything and test come back clear. I'm trying to conceive also does it affect fertility?
Can be prevented: First, confirm the diagnosis with your doctor. Persistent or recurrent vaginal yeast infection (thrush) sometimes is a sign of an underlying health problem, especially diabetes. You can also discuss preventive treatment with your doctor, such as a single oral dose of fluconazole (Diflucan®) once a week -- or in your case, maybe once a month. It shouldn't affect fertiilty -- no worries there. ...Read more
What would one or two white spots on your tonsils mean? Would it be tonsilitis, thrush, or tonsil stones? They clear up and come back.
Tonsils: Tonsils may develop small white patches that are simply dried surface secretions and have no medical concern. If there is no abnormal asymmetry of tonsils, no redness or pain then infections, such as strep or mono are unlikely. Thrush tends to cause scattered white thin exudate on the palate and cheeks or throat, and less so on the tonsils. ...Read more
My period was due on the 6th of may pregnancy test as come back negative but I have got thrush and had it 4 2week could that be way?
Retest: If you used a urine test strip to check for elevated HCG you might want to wait 7-10 days after the first test and do it again. These cost about $1 each. The question is do you really have thrush, which is oral candidal infection. If so, this is very unusual in normal immune competent adults and you should be tested for HIV and your immune status. If vaginitis, anything can delay your period. ...Read more
I took bacterial vaginosis treatment by mouth two weeks ago, but I got oral thrush from it, and I think my BV has come back after having sex?!
Recurrent BV: Recurrent BV is a common problem, and unfortunately the most effective treatments (usually metronidazole by mouth) can trigger yeast infections. BV isn't usually an STD in the usual sex, except in lesbian partners. Still, even with male partners, it's a good idea to either avoid sex or use condoms consistently (even with regular partners) for several weeks. For expert advice see an NHS GUM clinic. ...Read more
I have thrush and it won't go away. I'm not sure what to do. It keeps coming back and right now I am in pain .
Seek attention: You should seek attention. While thrush is easily treated, it can be an indication of other illness such as diabetes (out of control). There are other illness that cause symptoms in the mouth that might be thought of as thrush but are not. If you are on antibiotics, it would making curing more difficult. Again if this is truly thrush it should be easy to eliminate by a physician prescription. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Recurrent thrush: First see a physician to figure out why you have recurrent thrush. Is your immune system suppressed by diabetes, HIV, cancer, stress, major depression?
