Go to doctor: For something with symptoms as this, i don't think a forum like this is the best place to get a diagnosis. You have to see a doctor who can examine you, do test or imaging studies to make diagnosis and appropriate treatment. ...Read more

What might cause faintness, numbness, pain, and lightheaded drowsy and really abnormal feeling only while laying?

Many things: Could be anxiety or medical problems. I suggest you see your family physician. Make sure you ask your family members if they have ever had anything like this. Also does this only happen when you are falling off to sleep or coming out of sleep. If so make note of this. Does your heart skip beats? Start taking your BP first sitting then standing am, noon, 6pn, hs with pulse and axial temp. Keep a log. ...Read more

Can the vagal nerve or vagal response be overactive or malfunction? Because whenever i eat anything i get very lightheaded, faintness, pale and shaky.

Vagal Nerve Problems: Yes, an exaggerate vagal nerve response can contribute to dizziness. Probably, this happens when the vagal nerve causes the heart rate to slow down. If this happens any more often than rarely, go see your doctor. You need to exclude irregular heart rate rate, fluctuation in blood pressure, and sudden rising or falling blood sugar - three reasons for dizziness around meals. ...Read more

Dizziness almost everyday lightheadedness feeling like fainting it's been 6yrs.Head and neck MRIs, blood test, urinalysis were normal. What can it be?

Dizziness almost everyday lightheadedness feeling like fainting it's been 6yrs.Head and neck MRIs, blood test, urinalysis were normal. What can it be?

EEG: Episodes of light hotheadedness are occasionally due to epilepsy and acephalgic migraine. In both cases the EEG is often abnormal (H response with photic flash and abnormal response to hyperventilation with acephalgic migraine with aura) Other reasons for "fainting" include dysautonmia due to neuropathy) No sure why an MRI was performed with your history) Did you see a neurologist? Six years ? ...Read more

Been on victoza (liraglutide) for 2yrs on 1.2mg my endo ask to 1.8mg for 10days now i feel fainting, lightheaded, nausea and congested heavy head sore houlder neck?

Doubt related: Hi. If you tolerated 1.2 mg/day with no problem mg for 2 years, then it's VERY unlikely that the 1.8 dose has caused your "fainting, lightheaded, nausea, and congested heavy head sore shoulder neck". You might have a cold or a GI bug, but it ain't the Victoza (liraglutide). ...Read more

Waking up everyday feeling faint, giddy, lightheaded and shaky- is this hypoglycemia? I'm an otherwise healthy female! thanks.

Some thoughts..: What you're describing can be caused by dozens of things: blood pressure, blood sugar, thyroid, hormone changes with pregnancy. I've had patients really concerned about low blood sugar with symptoms of lightheadedness. I tell them if they have a glass of orange juice and the symptoms go away, it could be the sugar. Some people will even check their sugars with a glucometer. Best of luck! ...Read more
