It depends : Even natural sugars have calories and can lead to weight gain if consumed in excess. However, our bodies process natural sugars better than refined ones. Avoid raw cruc./soy: You are correct that certain foods are known to reduce thyroid function, esp. Raw cruciferous vegetables (including broccoli, cabbage ; kale) ; soybeans- but cooking cruciferous veggies inactivates the chemicals that block thyroid ; soy is ok in moderation- see http://bit.Ly/1ddkbiq icelandic kelp ; other iodine sources may help. This is not a substitute for thyroid hormone.See http://abt.Cm/18gpb3a. ...Read more

I'm having a sticky skin after eating fruits or drinking juices. Usually areas of stickiness are on my fold of neck, fold of elbows and fold of knees. What is this?

Unclear: I don't understand what you meant by sticky skin. Is it itching? What color is it? Can you see any rash? The location of the rash is consistent with atopic eczema which is almost always associated with itching. If that's the case, the rash may be triggered by food (fruit) which you have become allergic to. If you want to know the exact allergen, see allergist. Else just avoid them. ...Read more
