Can getting pregnant a month after an abortion caused miscarriage?

Can getting pregnant a month after an abortion caused miscarriage?

Sometimes: Sometimes, there hasn't been enough time to recuperate from the first pregnancy's loss of red blood cells (anemia), and nourishing nutrients to allow the pregnancy to continue. The second concern is genetic, as the first egg out of the box post abortion may not be the selection that has the full complement of genetic material to avoid miscarriage.

Can paps smear on the first/second week of pregnancy cause miscarriage??

Can paps smear on the first/second week of pregnancy cause miscarriage??

Very very rare: A normal screening PAP should not cause any significant damage to any structures. It is a mild scraping or brushing of the ecto-cervix, outside, and not the canal or endo, inside structures. A PAP smear is indicated as part of a routine exam for pregnancy. Normally at a pregnancy exam a PAP, cultures of the vagina and cervix are taken. One should refrain from alcohol and tobacco. Good luck.

Can having a myelogram cause a miscarriage, even if you didn't know you were pregnant?

Unlikely: By myelogram I am assuming you mean that contrast was injected into your spine prior to obtaining spinal x-rays and/or ct. Since the contrast should not have any direct effect on your spinal nerves, the myelogram would be unlikely to cause a miscarriage.

Should too many ultrasounds be avoided? Could they cause miscarriage, especially in early pregnancy?

US only when necess.: Ultrasound (us) is a very safe examination. However, it should be used only when necessary to properly care for the patient or fetus. Why? Us uses high frequency sound waves that we cannot hear, but do have energy. Some us techniques involving doppler to look at blood flow are even more energetic. We do not know for sure what that energy could do to a fetus or embryo, so no us unless necessar.

I'm. 5 months pregnant and have had some spotting; will running hurt my baby? Or cause a miscarriage?

I'm. 5 months pregnant and have had some spotting; will running hurt my baby? Or cause a miscarriage?

Get checked: When I have a pregnant patient who is a runner, there is usually no problem with her continuing to run during the pregnancy, as long as she is comfortable, and slows down as she gets bigger. However if one of my pregnant patients has spotting, I recommend checking it out and make sure there is no premature labor or weak cervix before exercising again.
