Total cholesterol: Please do what your doc says but I see no reason at all to lower your cholesterol. High quality marine fish oil is good for lots of things and will lower your trig. which are already fine. If cholesterol goes too low there can be problems. Just enjoy what you have. The most thorough: way to assess and manage cholesterol issues is to look a the lab values from the blood test your doc does. High triglycerides need good quality marine fish oil in the proper dose. High LDL responds to Red Yeast Rice capsules. Phytosterols have their place but I don't find them to be as effective as the above. Please check w/your doc or a natural health professional.
